My mom used to make this for breakfast every morning during strawberry season. Strawberry and milk is a golden combo in the Japanese gastroculture, although condensed milk is much more mainstream. But we like sugar and regular milk. It’s simple, easy, and you really have no excuse to try it.
1. Slice strawberries. Put in bowl.
2. Sprinkle a teaspoon of sugar over it. Let sit (“macerate”) for 15 minutes.
3. Pour cold milk over it.
4. Top with favorite nuts.
5. Breakfast!
Okay. Now that you’re done eating, a quickie comic for you (warning! creepie crawlies):
Whiskers are the sole reason why I don’t eat as much strawberries as I should.

Because I LOVE mayfly larvae in my milk and strawberries!
Hope you, husband (i wrote husbands at first…lol), and birds are well! Pretty cool that you’re in cooking school! I got some good info from your posts, like the different soups.
